Do you know the legend of the origin of the marathon? After a victorious battle of the Athenian army, one of the surviving warriors ran a roughly 40 kilometres endurance run back to Athens to inform their leaders of the great victory. Right after he had delivered the good news, he collapsed dead. Fortunately for you, information in Grepolis comes at a much cheaper price. The report system quickly informs you for free about the outcome of major events regarding your cities so you can respond quickly.
In the [[Academy]] you can research new things such as technologies or new units for your city.  These researches and subsequent discoveries only apply to the city that made them. Everything must be researched individually in every city which means it is very possible to have different research strategies in almost every city you have.

Immediately after every battle you will receive a report detailing its outcome. If you are victorious you will see both your own and enemy losses, however if you lost the battle the enemy's details will be concealed with a question mark.


==Farming Reports==

If your demands for resources in a farming village was met without any conflict you will immediately receive a report. This report will detail how many resources were taken as well as any changes in the mood and strength of the village.


==Uprising Reports==
Research points are a form of expendable resources.  The more you expand the academy the higher the number of research points you have available. There is an upper limit of 160 per city. However you can receive 12 further research points through the building of the [[Library]] on a city. You should spend these wisely as it is impossible to research everything within a single city.
If you keep demanding resources in a village with low mood you will eventually have to face an uprising. When an uprising occurs you will immediately receive a report detailing your losses. If the uprising is quenched by your remaining troops will still be able to carry resources back to your city.


==Invitation Reports==
In the academy you can check under research points how many research points are available and what discoveries you have made so far.
If an alliance sends you an invitation you will be notified in a report.

Once a [[Colony Ship]] begins founding a new city you will receive a report. The process of founding a new city takes 24 hours (when world speed is set to one).
 
The requirements that need to be met in order to research a technology, are:

If all Prerequisites are fulfilled, you can click on the required research and the necessary points and resources are taken automatically. The research arc is then adjusted to suit.

This indicates the current level of the academy.  This allows you to see at a glance which Technologies are available.  In this case, all researches that are in the first two columns could be carried out.  With the pointer in the third column, The first 3 columns would be available, and so on.

In the Academy you can research new things such as technologies or new units for your city. These researches and subsequent discoveries only apply to the city that made them. Everything must be researched individually in every city which means it is very possible to have different research strategies in almost every city you have.

Research Points

26 research points are currently available here.
